Baltimore, Maryland's own Donte Green will be one of the many basketball players considered by teams during the 2008 NBA Draft. Donte has played Division 1 college basketball at Syracuse University. This young man is a great basketball player with an extensive and impressive resume. While, in high school Donte Green was named a Jordan Brand All American and a McDonald's All American. He was also named to the First Team All Metro Area by the Baltimore Sun. He has also been a member of the USA Men's Under 18 Team and the USA Men's Under 19 Team. When, Donte played on the USA Men's Under 19 Team they won a silver metal at the Youth Basketball World Championship.

Donte Green has some very impressive strengths in his game. He has immense perimeter shooting ability and a phenomenal pull-up jump shot. Donte has extensive power and great stats when shooting at NBA range. His overall skill level is much higher then many of the other players that will be part of the 2008 NBA Draft. He also plays a very fluid game and his movement on the court has great fluidity.

Like all athletes Donte Green also has his weaknesses. He struggles with using his left hand and with shot selection. His ball handling skills are not as strong as they should be and he often lacks toughness on the court. Periodically Donte Green has also exhibited lack of defensive intensity. With work and time he should be able to improve his weaknesses so they have less effect on his overall game.

It is still somewhat early to make predictions about the 2008 NBA draft, but several sites have released their mock drafts. NBC Sports has passed Donte Green at No. 14 on their mock draft and expect that he will be going to the Golden State Warriors. He is expected to be drafted by the 76ers by collegehoopsnet.com and to be No.16.
