Nastia Liukin was shown on the commercials as participating in the tour, but it looks as if she may have pulled out. Her name does not appear in the lineup anymore. She probably received many endorsement opportunities including television appearances now that she won the gold medal as the All-Around Olympic Champion. The latest lineup includes "American Gymnastics Superstars" Shawn Johnson, Chellsie Memmel, Paul Hamm, Joseph Hagerty, Justin Spring, Morgan Hamm, Jonathon Horton, Kevin Tan, Shannon Miller and Blaine Wilson.
The show promises to combine music with the gymnastics. These types of shows are fun to watch because the gymnasts perform theatrical routines to fun music and choreographed lighting effects. It offers a chance for you to see the gymnasts from the Beijing Summer Olympics in action, although it is staged and the gymnasts typically water down their routines substantially.
Adding to the entertainment aspect will be music from Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records and the upcoming CD Release Girlz Rock 2. The show will also feature music by KSM and Jordan Pruitt.
Tickets are available at gymnasticssuperstars.com and ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices range from $27 to $77.00.
