2009 ACC Basketball Tournament Bracket and Preview. The regular season is now complete and the ACC Tournament brackets are set. Perhaps the most exciting game on the last day of the regular season was the North Carolina TarHeels win over the Duke Blue Devils at Chapel Hill. North Carolina comes into the tournament as the strongest overall team with Duke a close second and Wake Forrest and Florida State both strong teams to contend for the tourney championship. Virginia Tech could prove to be the Cinderella of the 2009 ACC tournament if Duke or North Carolina hiccup along the way. The following are previews of the leading teams going into the tournament along with where you can download sec basketball tournament brackets.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview - North Carolina

North Carolina enters the 2009 ACC Tournament with a Nr 1 NCAA Tournament seed to lose. They were able to fend off the surging Blue Devils in their season finale and are on a three game winning streak entering the tournament. Carolina is 26-3 and is the overall favorite to win the tournament.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview- Duke

Duke enters the post-season with a 25-6 overall record and are 4-1 in their last five games. Although they lost a close game to North Carolina to close out the regular season, this team is a different Duke team than started the season. With the right mix of talent on the court, the Blue Devils may very well win the 2009 ACC tournament and make a play for a number 1 NCAA tournament seed over North Carolina.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview- Wake Forest

Wake Forest enters the 2009 ACC tournament with a 24-5 overall record and has beaten both North Carolina and Duke during the regular season. Ranked 10th in the nation, they very likely could pull off an upset of Duke in the semi-finals and end up with a number 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview - Florida State

Florida state enters the ACC tournament nationally ranked at nr 20 and a 23-8 record. They have lost some close games this season to Duke and Pitt, but defeated Virginia Tech in a close game to wrap up the regular season. Many odds makers are predicting Florida State to be the fourth-most likely team to win the 2009 ACC tournament.

"...the Blue Devils may very well win the 2009 ACC tournament and make a play for a number 1 NCAA tournament seed over North Carolina." NO WAY! Duke was swept by NC this year so there is no way in my opinion that they will even be considered for a #1 seed. The best they could hope for is a #2 seed.

Clemson has already beatin GT twice pretty badly.

Beyond the big 3, the sexy pick is Clemson. But, I think GT will win, beat FSU and find themselves with a great opportunity to play for the championship.
