2009 Amusement Park Halloween Themed Events

Looking for something fun to do this Halloween? Why not head to one of the many amusement parks that run Halloween themed events? Here are four amusement parks that are running special Halloween themed events with lots of treats and very few tricks.

2009 Amusement Park Halloween Themed Events- Hershey Park In The Dark, Hershey Pennsylvania

Halloween and chocolate-perfect together! For three weekends in October, enjoy Halloween themed events at Hershey Park. Events include Hershey's Trick or Treat Adventure, Hersheypark in Treatville, and Creatures of the Night. Hershey Park In The Dark takes place on the following weekends: October 16-18, October 23-25, and October 30-November 1. For tickets, click here.

2009 Amusement Park Halloween Themed Events- Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Orlando Florida

Take the kiddies to Disneyworld for special Halloween themed nights between September 4th and November 1st. Your children can trick or treat around Disneyworld while enjoying many of the rides and attractions at The Magic Kingdom. In addition, look for special events like the Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and The Happy Hallowishes fireworks show. Tickets are $59 and can be purchased online here or call 1-407-WDISNEY.

2009 Amusement Park Halloween Themed Events- Six Flags Great Adventure Fright Fest 2009

It's a month long Halloween celebration on weekends at the most popular amusement parks in America. Haunted mansions, hayrides, and mazes are sure to add more thrill to the already heart pounding rides. The Fright Fest Events are scheduled to run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday, from October 3rd to November 1st. Dates may vary based on location. Check Six Flags main website and choose the amusement park nearest to you.

2009 Amusement Park Halloween Themed Events- Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, Orlando Florida

Halloween fun meets movie magic. On select nights between September 25th and October 30th, Universal Studios will transform into a Halloween mecca with haunted houses, live shows and 'scare zones' all designed for a fright filled evening. Park employees and actors will wear costumes from such films as Saw and The Wolfman and wander the park to add an extra uneasy feeling to the night. For tickets, click here. Warning-this event is NOT recommended for children under the age of 13. No costumes or masks allowed to this event.

    I would love to go the one at Cedar Point in Ohio. It's about an hour from me. I haven't been to an amusement park for Halloween in years.
