Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 1: Vasa Park Christmas Craft Show
November 19 through November 21 from 10 a.m., at Vasa Park, 3560 West Lake Sammamish Road. The largest and most popular craft show for the holiday on the Eastside. The event is indoors, with organizers filling the building with thousands of hand crafted Fall ornaments, garden art and fun gourmet treats. Admission is free.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 2 : Bellevue Snowflake & Celebration Lane
November 27 through January 10 at the Bellevue Collection in downtown Bellevue. Come join the holiday fun on Snowflake Lane down the sidewalks of Bellevue Way and NE Eighth Street. Fluttering snow falls every night as live toy solders and winter fairytale characters come to life, with music and glittering lights. And come visit Santa and his workshop, see Rudolph and the other reindeer flying at Bellevue Square Mall. Nightly performances start at 7 p.m. from November 28 through December 24 and at 7 p.m. from December 26 through December 31.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 3: The Bellevue Ice Skating Arena
November 27 through January 10 at Bellevue Down Park, NE First Street and 102nd Avenue NE. Come skate, with equipment rental available for all ages. The arena will host "Learn How to Skate" evenings, family skating nights, and private parties. Fridays and Saturdays the arena is open late into the night. Admission is $10, which includes the skating equipment, or $7 if you come with your own skates. Mondays admission is free courtesy of Bank of America. Free parking is available behind the park off NE First Street and 100th Avenue NE.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 4: Garden d'Lights
November 29 through January 29 at 5 p.m., at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, 12001 Main St., 425-452-2750. Come see thousands of twinkling lights scattered from a blooming garden, for a festive wonderland experience to start your holiday season off right. Created by volunteers, this festive lights display illuminates flowers, vines, shrubs and bushes. Come see what can happen with one flip of a light switch. Purchase your tickets on the spot for $5.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009: # 5: Holiday Craft Show
December 2 through December 5, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (except Saturday, which ends at 5 p.m.), at Northwest Art Center, 9825 NE 24th St. Come walk by shops of hand-crafted items from over 80 Northwest crafters, artists and designers. A beautiful array of color and charm. Find unique Christmas gifts for friends and family. Admission is free.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 6: It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play:
December 3 through December 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Meydenbauer Theatre, 11100 NE Sixth St. Attic Theater presents the beloved story It's a Wonderful Life enacted as a live recording in a 1940s radio studio, filled with old-time sound effects. Tickets are $10 to $20, and can be purchased here.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 7: Celebration Holiday Home Tour
December 4, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Come join the 14th annual tour, this time of five gorgeous homes in the neighborhoods of Newport Shores, Medina and Clyde Hill, all lake-side properties with stunning architectural designs and sweeping views. Complimentary wine and appetizers. Tickets are $30 and are available at 425-556-5106, or by email eastsideinfo@assistanceleague.org. All proceeds go to the Assistance League of the Eastside.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 8: Seattle Civic Christmas Ship:
December 5 at 8:45 p.m. Welcome the Seattle Civic Christmas Ship with celebration fires at Newcastle and Meydenbauer Beach Parks. This is an all-age event and admission is free. The Christmas ship festival has been brought to us by Argosy for the past 59 years. The Argosy Christmas Ship sails from shore to shore with a choir onboard and a dazzling display of lights. Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 9: Bellevue Chamber Chorus: A Child Is Born:
December 6 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., at the First Congregational Church, 752 108th Ave NE. A musical event filled with traditional Christmas carols, Gregorian Chants and Renaissance motets, sure to start your holiday festivities on a high note. Tickets are $9 to $18, and can be purchased here.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 10: Ross Andrew Winery Winemaker Dinner:
December 6 at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Monsoon East, 10245 Main St. A fine dining and wine event with Chefs Nathan Crave and Eric and Sophie Banh, to compliment the wines of Ross Andrew Winery. Cover price is $99, and reservations can be made here.

December 8 at 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at East Shore Unitarian Church, 12700 SE 32 St. Award-winning Pacific Sound Chorus returns with a Christmas concert to usher in the holidays. Door prizes and raffles, for added fun. Tickets are $10 to $12, and can be purchased here.

December 11 through December 23. Showtimes: 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Meydenbauer Theatre, 11100 NE Sixth St. The Inter Ballet Theater presents the famous Tchaikovsky ballet set with brilliant costumes in the traditional Russian style, including exotic Arabian dancers, a battle scene, snowflakes and stunning performances. Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 13: Magical Strings - A Celtic Yuletide
December 14 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Meydenbauer Center, 11100 NE Sixth St. This Celtic Yuletide concert, performed by the Boulding family for 31 years, returns with stories, Christmas music, juggling, singing and dancing. Come view three generations of artists performing for your holiday merriment. Tickets are $12 to $44, and can be purchased here.
Bellevue Christmas Events 2009, # 14: Nutcracker
December 19 at 2 p.m. and December 20 at 2 p.m. at Sammamish Performing Arts Center, 100 140th Ave. SE. Ballet Bellevue in its 25th anniversary brings us this thrilling performance of Tchaikovsky's Christmas ballet, filled with dazzling scenery and lights. The Eastside's own professional ballet company since 1995, Ballet Bellevue brings elegance to the stage. Tickets are $22 to $45, and can be purchased here.

December 19 through December 20 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Bellevue Youth Theater, 16661 Northup Way. A magical tale of mischief, bringing to life the children's author Beatrix Potter and an assortment of storybook mice. Funded in part by the Jim Henson Foundation this charming tale will entertain the young and old alike, and usher in the holiday with a smile.

December 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Westminster Chapel, 13646 NE 24th St. The Bellevue Chamber Chorus performs Handel's famous Messiah, for a glorious celebration of Christmas. This Bellevue Philharmonic performance has become a Christmas tradition in Bellevue, filled with moving melodies and inspiring choruses and orchestrations. Join the Bellevue Chamber Chorus along with four outstanding vocalists for an unforgettable Christmas celebration. Tickets are $15 to $30 and can be purchased here.
