2009 Christmas Events in MiamiFlorida #1: Santa's Enchanted Forest
Take your kids to a magical celebration in Santa's Enchanted Forest. Santa's Enchanted Forest is a theme park that has rides, pony rides, games to play, a petting zoo and beautiful lights hung up everywhere. The forest is open from November 5th to January 3rd. You can buy tickets at the door or online at their website. Adults are $23.36, children 3-9 are $16.36 and kids under 2 are free. You can also buy a season pass which will get you into the park as often as you want. Season passes for adults are $39.26 and $28.97 for children. This event is located at Tropical Park, 7900 S.W. 40th Street, Miami.

The Nutcracker is a timeless classic that draws in crowds every year. The Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will be performing The Nutcracker December 19th through the 20th at the Julius Littman North Miami Beach Theater. Prices start at $25 dollars for adults. Children and senior tickets are cheaper. The ballet lasts one hour and forty five minutes and has one intermission. There is just something special about going to a tree lighting ceremony. It helps you get more into the Christmas spirit and provokes excitement into children. Deering Village at Culter is having a tree lighting ceremony on December 4th from 7 to 9 PM. Admission is $10 dollars for adults and $$5 dollars for children 5 to 14. They are located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue Miami, FL 33157.

Witness the excitement on your children's faces as they get to have story time with Santa Claus himself. Deering Village at Culter is hosting a story time with Santa in their Stone House Ballroom on December 12th or 19th from 10 AM to 12 PM. This event is free with regular paid admission. You can buy a picture of your child with Santa for a fee or bring your own camera and take pictures for free. After the story, your child will get to make a craft to take home.
