Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (ABC Family)
Fred Astaire and Mickey Rooney are among those who lend their voices to this holiday tale, which explains the legend of Santa Claus and how he began delivering toys to children on Christmas Eve. As a young man, he tries to deliver toys to the kids of Sombertown, but is met with opposition by the bitter Burgermeister Meisterburger, a mayor who hates toys and deems them "illegal, immoral, unlawful."

Ivan Reitman directs this animated variation on the Dickens classic, with Daffy Duck as the Scrooge-like owner of a department-store chain who learns a lesson about the meaning of Christmas from Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig's daughter and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future (played by Granny, Tweety, Yosemite Sam and Taz).

    Great list, especially if you have kids. I tend to stick to White Christmas, A Christmas Carol, Home Alone and NL's Christmas Vacation, and whatever sappy Lifetime move is on.
