Round 1- 2009 Mock Fantasy Football Draft
Team 1- Adrian Peterson RB Minnesota
Team 2- Michael Turner RB Atlanta
Team 3- Matt Forte RB Chicago
Team 4- Maurice Jones- Drew RB Jacksonville
Team 5- Steven Jackson- RB St. Louis
Team 6- Chris Johnson- RB Tennessee
Team 7- Steve Slaton- RB Houston
Team 8- Larry Fitzgerald- WR Arizona
Team 9- Andre Johnson WR Houston
Team 10- Brian Westbrook RB Philadelphia
Round 1 of the 2009 fantasy football mock draft was heavily weighted towards running backs as expected. Two Houston Texans going in the first round looks surprising but both Johnson and Slaton are worthy of this high of a selection. The two top wideouts were taken towards the end of the first round and no quarterbacks taken yet.
Round 2- 2009 Mock Fantasy Football Draft
Team 10- Randy Moss WR New England
Team 9- Deangelo Williams- RB Carolina
Team 8- LaDainian Tomlinson- RB San Diego
Team 7- Calvin Johnson- WR Detroit
Team 6- Drew Brees- QB New Orleans
Team 5- Peyton Manning- QB Indianapolis
Team 4- Marion Barber- RB Dallas
Team 3- Roddy White- WR Atlanta
Team 2- Tom Brady- QB New England
Team 1- Frank Gore- RB San Francisco
Round 2 of the 2009 fantasy football mock draft saw a run on quarterbacks with a few more top wideouts going. You will need to take one of the top quarterbacks in the second round of most fantasy drafts if you want to get one. There were still some solid running backs on the board after round 1 and Frank Gore could be the steal of this draft.
Round 3- 2009 Mock Fantasy Football Draft
Team 1- Steve Smith- WR Carolina
Team 2- Brandon Jacobs- RB NY Giants
Team 3- Clinton Portis- RB Washington
Team 4- Reggie Wayne- WR Indianapolis
Team 5- Thomas Jones- RB NY Jets
Team 6- Anquan Boldin- WR Arizona
Team 7- Knowshon Moreno- RB Denver
Team 8- Ryan Grant- RB Green Bay
Team 9- Terrell Owens- WR Buffalo
Team 10- Ronnie Brown- RB Miami
Round 3 of this 2009 fantasy football mock draft you saw a mix of running backs and wide receivers taken. The first rookie was taken in Knowshon Moreno and Reggie Wayne slipped to third round. The running back position is starting to get thin.
The first three rounds of the 2009 fantasy football mock draft show again the importance of getting some running backs early. The position will be thin after three rounds whereas there are some top quarterbacks and wide receivers that have not yet been taken. I hope this helps you prepare for your draft day!
