2009 Golden Globes Nominations

The 2009 Golden Globes Nominees were annoncued today. There are the expected nominations such as Slumdog Millionare for Best Picutre and Wall-E as Best Animated Feature. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Doubt and Frost/Nixon each scored a leading five nominations on the film side. As for television, In Treatment and Recount led the way, also grabbing five nods each.

However, to some surpise the 2008 blockbuster The Dark Knight recieved onlt one nomination for Best Supporting Actor (Heath Ledger as Joker). This nomination was considered an obvious choche by many, however both crtics and film fans felt that The Dark Knight was was worthy of nominations in other catergories such as Best Orginal Score, Best Director, and even Best Picture.

The awards will be handed out in Los Angeles Jan. 11. Here's the complete list of nominees:
