2009 Grammy Winners

Sherrill Fulghum
In years past the Grammy Awards meant a lot more than glitz and glitter, who was walking the red carpet, and who wore what. It was about the MUSIC! As the years have gone by more categories have been added to where there is a total of 110 separate awards given out. Today we are lucky to see 10 of those awards; whereas, the television broadcast presented many of the awards with only the music from the major categories. Fans got to see and hear their favourite star perform songs nominated for the top awards. There was only one Lifetime Achievement Award that was presented with much pomp and circumstance similar to that seen on the Kennedy Center Honours. The Grammy Awards have become a showcase of collaborations with the award taking second place almost as an also ran.

Here is a complete listing of all the winners from the fifty-first annual Grammy Awards.
