2009 Holiday Gift Card Promotions

Every holiday season millions of Americans purchased gift cards for their friends, employees and loved ones to celebrate the seasons. Borders is offering a free $10 gift card when you purchase a $50 gift card bundle. Since this bundle is split up in to two $25 gift cards you could give two of your friends a gift to purchase a new CD, book or DVD and keep the $10 as a treat for yourself.

Half Price Books is offering a $5 coupon for every $25 of gift cards purchased. These also make a great gift for anyone on your list who loves to read!

Outback Steakhouse is offering a $20 gift card and a free Sugarland download whenever you purchased $100 of their gift cards. I think this is a fantastic deal!

Applebees is also serving up a holiday gift card promotion this year. If you purchase a $50 gift card for their restaurant, you will receive a $10 gift card this is valid during January and February of 2010. Sounds like a great way to start off the new year!

Buffalo Wild Wings is offering up a $5 Gift Card valid from 1/1/2010 to 2/28/2010 when you purchase a $25 gift card!

Chick-Fil-A is offering a free calendar when you purchase $20 of gift cards. This is not a typical calendar though, every month it includes a coupon for a free or discounted menu item/meal at Chik-Fil-A. I always make sure to purchase one of this every year for myself!

DSW is offering a $10 bonus card when purchase a $50 gift card. Who doesn't love new shoes!?

The Container Store is offering a $25 gift card when you purchase a $100 gift card. I don't know about you but I could use some serious help with organizing my house for the holidays!

L.L. Bean is gifting consumers a $10 gift card for a future purchase when they make a $25 purchase. Talk about generous!

These are just some of the gift card promotions that are being offered during the 2009 holiday season, but are indeed the best ones! Go ahead and treat yourself to the free promotional gift card when you purchase one of these gift cards or give it your recipient as a little something extra. If your favorite retailer is not offering a promotion this year, try searching on popular auction sites for slight discounts on gift cards. Also, if you have any unused gift cards from last year that you will not be using, consider trading them for something that you really want with a friend or on a gift card trading site. No matter what you decide to do, know that you are saving big $$$ with these offers.
