Labor Day is a bittersweet holiday. On one hand, the odds are you have the day off with pay, and it's a good excuse to have a party. On the other hand, Labor Day symbolizes the end of summer.

Nobody wants summer to end. That's why people look for events and activities taking place Labor Day weekend to get in one last hurrah for the summer. If you live in or near New Jersey, there's good news; this tiny state is packed with a number of events that will take place over the Labor Day weekend. Labor Day Weekend events in New Jersey 2009 - Walking With Dinosaurs, Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall

The Walking With Dinosaurs show comes to Atlantic City September 2-6. Take a step back into pre-historic time and experience life when dinosaurs ruled the earth 200 millions years ago. Ten species of dinosaurs will be represented in this show, all created to be as lifelike as possible. A must see if you have kids.

Labor Day Weekend events in New Jersey 2009 - Statue of Liberty Crown Tour, Liberty State Park

After years of being closed, officials at Liberty State Park are ready to re-open Lady Liberty's crown to the public. Opening day is July 4th. The crown is open every day unless the temperatures hit over 93 degrees. The Crown Tour tickets are a separate price from the regular ferry tickets.
