Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is here again, and this year's 2009 Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest features two-time champion Joey Chestnut against six-time champion Takeru Kobayashi. The 2009 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is going to be the culmination of many qualifying events, pitting the best hot dog eaters against each other in Ney York for the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. People from around the world try to compete in Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, and this year will be no exception as the best hot dog eaters in the world arrive this weekend. The name of the game at this year's Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest who to see who can eat the most hot dogs in the allotted time.

The 2009 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is going to be a re-match between Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi, who finished in a tie of 59 hot dogs eaten at the end of last year's competition. That forced them to go into an overtime period, where Chestnut was able to down an additional 5 hot dogs in just 50 seconds in order to take home his second hot dog eating championship. He is at the 2009 hot dog contest in order to defend that thrown against all competitors, and it will see Kobayashi return to try to take the title one more time.

The 2009 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is scheduled for this July 4th, and is going to be hosted at the original flagship store for the hot dog Company. They have been selling original Nathan's Famous Frankfurters for years, and this competition just serves as a way to showcase their hot dogs on a national scale. The flagship store is located in Coney Island, so New York will play host to the July Fourth International Hot Dog Eating Contest. It will be a hot day in New York, and certainly a nice competition between two of the most prolific hot dog eaters the world has ever seen.

Can Chestnut or Kobayashi eat more than the 64 hot dogs it took to win the 2008 competition? And can an upstart competitor stand a chance against these two eating machines? A competitive eater known as "Eater X" won the Hartford, CT qualifier by eating 50 hot dogs, so it does seem like there might be a challenger to the thrown within the field. It's going to be a big day of eating this July 4th, and ESPN will be airing the 2009 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest to millions of waiting fans.
