But can the Falcons win a tough road game at New England? I doubt it, although I wouldn't rule it out. Patriots hold off the Falcons 28-24 as Brady returns to form. My NFL Week 3 predictions continue with a huge game in Arizona. The Cardinals looked like last year's Super Bowl team in Week 2 of the NFL season. Can they hold off Peyton Manning at the University of Phoenix Stadium? I say they will in Week 3 and my prediction is the Cardinals will rise to a 34-28 win over the Colts.
The Jets are 2-0 and they host the 0-2 Titans. But don't let the 0-2 record for Tennessee fool you. Two close losses by a combined 6 points. The Jets are doing well with their rookie quarterback but they'll finally lose and drop back to reality 23-14. Remember the Titans reeled off 10 straight wins last season and this game is a make or break for their season.
The high flying Drew Brees act stops in Buffalo this week. Brees has 9 TD passes in two games. He'll get at least three more in a 34-17 win against the Bills. Carolina is at Dallas and both teams are hurting after close losses. Romo will rebound and the Cowboys straighten the ship slightly with a 28-20 win.
Elsewhere for my NFL week 3 predictions and picks; Green Bay blast St. Louis 34-13. Minnesota is 3-0 after a 35-10 win over San Francisco. Philadelphia wins big over Kansas City with a 42-20 final. The Giants have trouble but win at Tampa Bay 19-13. Baltimore crushes Cleveland 45-9. Houston rolls over Jacksonville 33-20. The Bears win a big one at Seattle 23-17. San Diego crushes Miami 31-10. Pittsburgh beats Cincinnati 12-6. Oakland outlasts Denver 20-16. Those are my predictions for NFL Week Number 3 of the 2009 season.
