The Exterior
The official press release from Nissan regarding the 2009 Murano states that it has a new hood that blends seamlessly into the vehicle's bodyline. The back of the vehicle has been redesigned large LED taillights, two chrome-finished exhaust pipes, and curved back windshield that provides drivers with an expanded view of the road behind them. It also has a back skylight and a moonroof that has two panels. Drivers can choose from three colors: Deep Sapphire, Tinted Bronze, and Saharan Stone.
The Interior
The experts at Cars.com gave the 2009 Nissan Murano the top prize for its interior finish. They cited the very high quality of materials used as the primary reason for their decision. In true 21st century style, it has a push button start that is so easy even the technological novice would have no trouble with it. The driver seat can be adjusted in six different ways and the steering wheel can be programmed to remember the preference of two drivers. It comes in two colors: Café Latte and Charcoal.
What Else You Need To Know
The 2009 Nissan Murano rivals other crossover vehicles in its mileage. It gives drivers 18 city and 23 highway miles to the gallon. It has the standard airbags as well as protection on the side of the vehicle in the event of a rollover. The cargo space is not the largest of crossover vehicles but its adequate for the average driver. It has a hidden compartment for storing tools and other things that you might need one day but don't need everyday. There are three styles of Murano: The S, SL, and LE. Cars.com cites some of the differences between the S and the SL and LE as rain-sensing windshield wipers, Bluetooth cellular interface, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power liftgate.
