2009 Playstation 3 Must Own Video Games

If you own a Playstation 3 the next six months should have you sitting on pins and needles. Playstation has put together quite an impressive lineup of games for us to enjoy this coming fall and winter of 2009. With some great PS3 exclusives to some of the most anticipated multi-platform games ever, 2009 will be a year to remember. Here is a preview list of some of the mega hits coming this fall that will have us sitting in front of our flat screens as the days go by in the outside world.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3; Q4 2009) - Drake is back on another treasure hunt is this action adventure exclusively for the Playstation 3. Not only does the game appear to be the most beautiful creation ever for a console, but it has the gameplay to back it up. This time around consumers will get to experience online co-op and online multiplayer, adding to what was already a near perfect game.

M.A.G. (PS3; Q4 2009) - M.A.G. or Massive Action Game is a one of a kind online multiplayer military style game hosting 256 players against one another. This PS3 exclusive will be the ultimate team based experience unlike anything we've ever seen.

Modern Warfare 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC; Nov. 10 2009) - The sequel to game of the year winner Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is back and surely better than ever. You pick up as a new character fighting the same war as before, but this time in a wide array of different locations. The story mode should be incredible as always, sadly no length has been added from its predecessor. Online multiplayer is where it's at in the Call of Duty franchise and it will be exciting to see what new editions we get this time around from the near perfect model previously.

Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC; Nov. 17 2009) - We are back as Desmond traveling back to live through one of his ancestors' past. The game takes place in 1486 during the Italian Renaissance. The developers have promised new, less repetitive gameplay with more weapons at your disposal. The game is certain to be visually stunning and fix any bumps that came about with the original Assassin's Creed.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3; Q4 2009) - Ratchet & Clank are back exclusively on the PS3 to conclude the story from Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty. We are certain to see some great new weapons as always and the usual 3D platforming. Hopefully this game will get back to its roots and improve some of the issues from the previous two installments. If you're a Ratchet & Clank fan this will be a must buy late 2009.

Gran Turismo 5 (PS3; TBA 2009) - The ultimate simulation racing game is back with more cars and new courses. Gran Turismo has always been top of the line in terms of appearance among racing games and #5 should be better than ever. All racing fans should be looking forward to this PS3 exclusive coming in the latter days of 2009.

BioShock 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC; Nov. 3 2009) - The undersea first person shooter is back this time boasting the coveted online multiplayer function along with a great single player story campaign. If you're into sci-fi shooters then this will be a title you'll surely not want to miss out on.

There you have it; my list of must owns for the remainder of 2009. Now all we have to do is sit back and await the release...ugh.
