President's Day weekend 2009 is fast approaching, and with it, all sorts of activities and events are planned across the country. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is no exception, with its rich history, and culture, a President's Day Weekend would not be complete without a number of events across the city.

Presidents Day Weekend at Heinz History Center: February 14-15 2009

One of the more popular events in recent years, as well as for 2009 is at the Heinz History Center In Downtown Pittsburgh. Held between 10 am and 3pm, Saturday, the 14th and Sunday the 15th. There will be many special activities, particularly for children. There will be games, art projects, a scavenger hunt, and trivia games. For adults there will re-enactments, and for all, you can look forward to all your favorite Presidents available to meet and talk to. Admission for the event is 9$ for adults; 7$ for seniors; 5$ for children, 6-18; and children under 6 are free. Heinz History Center is located at en. Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's Fiddlesticks Concert: February 14th, 2009

If you enjoy music, consider taking your family to this concert which is specifically geared toward families that have children from ages 3-8.There will be local artists there such as Fred Rogers, and Henry Mancini. The event starts at 11:15 AM, and tickets are $16 and 19$. This event is located at the Heinz Hall, Sixth street, Pittsburgh, Pa. Monster Jam: February 13-15 2009

If you are not into history, and favor a more action packed event, Monster Jam is in Pittsburgh, Pa. for the President's day weekend. You can go check out the "Monstrous" trucks, and there will be truck pulling, and mud bogging events. You can watch demolition style events, or watch the giant trucks do their tricks.
