2009 President's Day Events Taking Place in New York City, NY
If You Are an Art Enthusiast, Martial Art Enthusiast or Just a Beer Enthusiast, This is the Guide for You
McSorley's Old Ale House, a great little pub in that is one of New York's oldest is holding their annual birthday during President's Day weekend. This pub, established in 1864, is very unique and not for everyone but it's birthday bash is usually a fun experience for anyone of legal drinking age.
When you go to McSorley's Old Ale House don't expect the new millennium. This place prides itself in it's name of an "old ale house". It is an amazing old wood building with details through and through from before the turn of the century. From every haunting painting to the sawdust that is actually spread on the floor daily this place is quite the pub.
It wouldn't be my everyday choice but it's fun for a nice change on President's Day weekend. Although sometimes the line for drinks at this place is out the door and I would suspect their birthday bash would entitle nothing less.
One more tip before you walk in there and look like a classy drinker remember this is McSorley's Old Ale House and that means they only serve 2 beers, light and dark. So don't expect to get a Guinness or Stella Artois in this pub.
You can locate McSorley's Old Ale House at 15 East 7th Street New York, NY. You can also check out this old ale pub online at McSorley's Old Ale House.
