The 2009 Super Bowl start time has now been set, as the 2009 Super Bowl kick off draws even closer. The 2009 Super Bowl game time is scheduled to start at 6:20 pm Eastern Time (3:20 pm Pacific Time), this Sunday on NBC. The Super Bowl will take place at Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa, Florida, and will be the 43rd annual match-up. This Super Bowl will take place on February 1st, 2009, and will follow a Super Bowl pre-game show, and have a Super Bowl post-game show after the game has been completed.

This year's Super Bowl (Super Bowl XLIII) will be a contest between the American Football Conference champion Pittsburgh Steelers, and the National Football Conference Champion Arizona Cardinals in a battle of two completely different teams. The Cardinals are known for their offensive out-put and the three great receivers that quarterback Kurt Warner has to utilize. On the other side of the ball is the Pittsburgh defense, that has decided more than one game this season with some intense play, and the league leader in sacks playing on the line. It is going to be a pretty good match-up between the two NFL powerhouses.

NBC looks to score big with a day full of Super Bowl coverage, and the hope that the ratings will turn out to be huge not only for the big game, but the commercial breaks that tend to also draw large audiences. Joining the game will be pop-singer Jennifer Hudson, who will perform The Star-Spangled Banner before the first kick-off, in what will be here first public performance since the tragic death of her family members. For the halftime show sponsored by Bridgestone, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform live at a Super Bowl for the very first time.

In addition to the performances of Jennifer Hudson and Bruce Springsteen, singer Faith Hill will perform during the pre-game festivities, adding to her allure as a football fan that has also performed several songs used in commercials during games this past season. The 2009 line-up of performers will only add additional reasons for fans to tune in to what should definitely be a good match-up of NFL teams, and go down as an another chapter in the illustrious history of the NFL.
