Indianapolis Colts at -1
Baltimore Ravens
Analysis: This point spread surprises me. I thought the Colts should be favored by more than just 1. On Monday night the Ravens offensive line struggled to pass protect and as a result Joe Flacco was pressured all night. With Freeney and Mathis, Indianapolis can bring the pressure a lot better than the Browns can. The Ravens will also be without LB Terrell Suggs who was injured Monday night. Baltimore is better than their record shows, but the Colts should still handle them this week and cover this very small point spread.
Pick: Colts - 1
Atlanta Falcons at
New York Giants -5.5
Analysis: The Giants are going to be fresh coming off their bye week and are at home. The Falcons are missing Michael Turner who will be out with an injury. While Chris Snelling did a good job filling in, he does not have the explosiveness that Turner does. This puts the game on the shoulders of Matt Ryan who hasn't been playing very well lately. The Giants know how to pressure the quarterback and I can see them forcing Ryan into some mistakes. The Falcons have also been vulnerable to the run this year so look for a rested Brandon Jacobs to dish out punishment all game long. The Giants should easily cover this point spread and probably will win by 3 scores.
Pick: Giants -5.5
New Orleans Saints at -12.5
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Analysis: The injuries are starting to pile up for the Saints defense. This week they will for sure be without cornerback Tracy Porter and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis. Meanwhile, safety Darren Sharper and cornerback Jabari Greer are questionable. As a result, teams have been playing New Orleans closer lately including the Rams actually having a chance to win the game at the end. Of course the Saints will win but I don't think they'll cover the point spread
Pick: Tamp Bay +12.5
Philadelphia Eagles at -2.5
Chicago Bears
Analysis: Philadelphia has lost 2 games in a row and will not have Brian Westbrook this week. However, Lesean McCoy has filled in just fine when given carries and the 2 losses were to good teams in San Diego and Dallas. Chicago has looked very bad, first getting blown out by the Cardinals then losing to the 49ers. With McNabb throwing to Celek, Desean Jackson, Maclin, and McCoy out of the backfield I don't think the bears will be able to handle all the weapons. The Eagles should win by double digits, easily covering this point spread
Pick: Eagles -2.5
Cincinnati Bengals at -9.5
Oakland Raiders
Analysis: The Bengals look like a complete football team. There defense is legitimate, they are scoring on special teams, and their offense is balanced. The Raiders really don't stand a chance, no matter who they use at quarterback. I expect the Bengals to easily cover the point spread and win by 20.
Pick: Bengals -9.5
