New Year's Eve is a big night in Memphis, Tennessee. There are parties and gatherings for you to attend so that you can ring in 2009. Now is the time to start making your plans. So get yourself in gear and check out these events below.

Come out to the Countdown on Beale Street and hear live music at Handy Park and many of the clubs on Beale. At midnight there will be a countdown to midnight, champagne toast, and fireworks. I suggest if you have a favorite club that you plan on partying at to remember to call ahead for details. Check with your favorite clubs for any reservation needs.

Peabody Hotel is having a New Year's Eve Party that starts at 6pm and goes till 2am. Come and enjoy a three stage live music event and balloon drop at midnight. Party goers' need to be 21 and older. Call ahead for reservation information.

Coyote Ugly is throwing a New Year's Eve party that starts at 7pm. Don't miss the wild crazy fun. Call them for further details.

Memphis Bop Club is having their New Year's Eve Bash at the Marriott Hotel. The party starts at 8:00pm. Come and bop, shag, and swing the night away. There will be a champagne toast at midnight and a breakfast at 1am. If you do plan to attend the party call the Marriott for more details for the party and ask for discounted room rates for party goers'. The Bash tickets are $45 per person.

Come party at Senses for their New Year's Eve bash. Along with party favors and live music, enjoy a champagne toast at the stroke of midnight. You must be at least 21 to attend this event.

Do you have kid's ages 6 to 12 years old? If so, make it a family event and ring in the new year at the Memphis Zoo Snooze. Bring your pillows and sleeping bags and find out what the zoo is like at night. Event includes crafts, games, moonlight safari. And party favors at midnight for the countdown. There will be a night time snack and a Continental breakfast provided for you for the morning. Call the zoo for details.
