2009's Top 10 Actors to Watch

Marguerite Kranick
Hollywood has given us plenty of great male talent this year. Here are ten names to watch that have done outstanding work and have the staying power to hang around for years to come.

1. Ed Westwick- This Brit stars on the CW's Gossip Girl as the deliciously evil Chuck Bass. I watch Gossip Girl religiously every Monday night because he literally steals the show just by showing up onscreen. He recently landed a lead role as Heathcliff in the latest adaptation of Wuthering Heights.

2. Sam Worthington- Australian Sam Worthington appeared in Terminator: Salvation, is the lead in James Cameron's upcoming epic Avatar, and appears in remake of Clash of the Titans due for release in 2010.

3. Zach Galifanakis- You know who this guy is, unless you're the only person in America who hasn't seen The Hangover. Zach started in Hollywood as a standup comedian, and he currently does excellent supporting work on HBO's Bored to Death, opposite Jason Schwartzman.

4. Bradley Cooper- Is well-known as the best-looking dude in The Hangover and the jerk from Wedding Crashers. He's funny and handsome, the typical Hollywood leading man. In 2010, you can see him in a remake of The A-Team as Templeton "Faceman" Peck.

5. Jeremy Renner- Moody and mysterious, he appeared recently in ABC's now-defunct The Unusuals. He's been nominated for an Independent Spirit Award twice, including once for this year's The Hurt Locker as Sgt. William James, a bomb dismantler destroying IEDs in Iraq.

6. Hugh Dancy- Talented, charming, and British, he plays an autistic who falls in love with his neighbor in this year's Adam. You know him from The Jane Austen Book Club and Confessions of a Shopaholic.

7. Jesse Eisenberg- Appeared in this year's Adventureland and currently is in Zombieland. Next year, he'll star as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network.

8. Adam Goldberg- Is another stellar casualty of The Unusuals. He's appeared in Saving Private Ryan and A Beautiful Mind. Adam can currently be seen in (Untitled) as a misanthropic composer.

9. Mark Feuerstein- Plays Dr. Hank Lawson on USA's Royal Pains. He has appeared alongside big names such as Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette in In Her Shoes, and Mel Gibson in What Women Want.

10. Paulo Costanzo- Also appears on Royal Pains as Hank's annoying brother, Evan. You've seen him in Road Trip and 40 Days and 40 Nights.
