The biggest asset of the new Arena league, is the fan base it still maintains. The problem with the original Arena Football, wasn't lack of interest. The year before they folded attendance was high, but it wasn't enough. The league couldn't control cost, so they couldn't make money.
Now that it's already been done, the wrong way, the new owners are equipped with the knowledge of what went wrong. They'll find ways to reduce expenditures. One big cost saver, this league has already purchased the essentials from the previous league. They have things in place like, equipment, players, marketing tools and arenas. This is not a league starting from scratch.
Arena football is perfect for many people. The hard core football fan will like the hard hitting, and quick scoring. Families like arena football, because it's an inexpensive way to bring the family to a sporting event, and the players are more accessible then NFL players. It's a fun summer time activity that everyone can enjoy.
Arena football is fun, hard hitting, and high scoring. What's not to like?
Arena football begins again in April, with 15 teams.
