2010 Big East Tournament Bracket

There's still a week left to go in the regular season, but there's nothing stopping us from taking a look at the 2010 Big East Tournament bracket. The 2010 Big East Tournament will be held March 9th through 13^th, at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. For the first time, all 16 Big East conference teams will participate in the post season tournament with the highest four seeds in the conference receiving a double-bye. Beyond laying claim to being one of the top NCAA basketball conferences, the Big East also boasts having their tournament in one of the best locations to enjoy the sights and nightlife when away from the basketball court in New York's midtown district. If you are traveling to the tournament, staying in a hotel near Madison Square Garden will put you walking distance from both the basketball games as well as the majority of sights and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Where Do the Big East Teams Sit for Seeding?

I waited until the West Virginia vs Cincinnati game was complete to write this article. The Mountaineers hung on to win late in the game, so the top 4 teams in Big East play heading into March are:

Syracuse 14-2/27-2

Villanova 12-4/23-5

West Virginia 11-5/22-6

Pittsburgh 11-5/22-7

Louisville: 10-6/19-10

Georgetown: 9-7/19-8

Notre Dame: 8-8/19-10

Have Work to Do:

The "Have Work to Do" teams aren't out of the 2010 NCAA Tournament picture yet, but need to get some more work done over the last week of the regular season and into the Big East Tournament to have a shot at an at-large bid.
