2010 Chevrolet Camaro

We all know it as a star for the movie Transformers. It was a great car for the movie, and I feel the producers made the right choice to go to GM to get car ideas.

As a concept, it's a car to die for. The exterior is top notch, and the interior is fantastic. However, with the production car ready to hit the public it feels just so cheap. OK, Camaros were never exactly expensive cars. The classics are now, but more modern ones are just cheap. The new Camaro looks really good on the outside, but it just feels so cheap on the inside. The interior on the concept car looked fantastic, elegant, sporty, and very expensive. The production model's interior isn't impressive at all. I've seen cars worth much less with a better designed interior. Here's what I mean.

Here's my perspective on it: you know you look badass sitting in it. Anyone looking at you from the outside will think so. But sitting on the inside, you just don't feel like the you're sitting in a car which as a concept was worth millions of dollars; and that was when the dollar was worth something.

As far as performance goes, the exterior shouts too loud. It might be better than the new Challenger, and just a bit better than the new Mustang, but the Challenger and the Mustang don't look so aggressive and menacing. The new Camaro looks like it has a billion horsepower and infinity torques, but it only just outperforms the competition.

Conclusion: GM had the perfect car for a kid's wallpaper. They had the ingredient for an all-time great looking car, and they blew it in the name of mass production. The 1967-69 Camaro is a classic car. Yes, it was ruined by later models, but it has restored its classic look, to later be knocked off the classic board by the interior.

Interior Rating: 2/5
Exterior Rating: 4/5
Performance Rating: 3/5
