2010 College World Series Party Joined by Clemson

Clemson is the newest team to join the 2010 College World Series schedule. Clemson beat Alabama to make the 2010 College World Series, taking out the Crimson Tide on Monday night to clinch the three game series. Clemson is the Cinderella team of the 2010 NCAA Baseball Championship right now, making them the only school to not get a regional bracket at the home field to make the College World Series. Clemson had a tough road into the 2010 College World Series, first having to knock off Auburn in the Auburn Regional, and then needing to beat a tough Alabama team in the Super Regional round. It's only going to get tougher from here though, as Clemson will come into the 2010 College World Series as the No. 8 seed.

The 2010 College World Series will most likely start for Clemson on Saturday, June 19th in the early afternoon game. The start time is scheduled for 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST) in Omaha, and they will most likely have to play against the Florida State Seminoles in Game 1. It's a double elimination tournament though, so even if Clemson falls in the first game of the 2010 College World Series, they still have a chance to play through the loser's bracket to make it into the Championship Series. It has been a great season for Clemson already, surpassing all expectations the "experts" had for this team, and notching a spot in the 2010 College World Series field. Now Clemson will try to pull yet another upset, as they hope to take down Florida State on Saturday.
