2010 College World Series Teams Set for Tournament

The 2010 College World Series teams have all been decided now. The 2010 College World Series teams will be scheduled to play in two brackets, each of which will begin this weekend in Omaha. The eight teams that qualified for the 2010 College World Series will take part in a double elimination tournament, with games starting on Saturday, June 19th and going until either June 29th or June 30th. From the original field of 64 teams in the 2010 NCAA Baseball Tournament, we are down to just eight teams, seven of which received No. 1 seeds in their regional brackets, and one team that is looking to become the Cinderella story of this tournament. That team is Clemson, who upset Auburn in their bracket, and look to take out Arizona State in the first game of the 2010 College World Series.

As we mentioned, the 2010 College World Series is a double-elimination tournament, giving every team the chance to lose twice before they are eliminated. It means that a team can play badly on opening night and still come back through one of the loser's brackets to win the whole tournament. The teams are split up into two brackets, and the winner of each bracket will play in the College World Series Championship Series that takes place on Monday, June 28th. That will be another three-game-series, with the first team to two wins winning it all. The first game of the 2010 College World Series is on Saturday, June 19th at 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST) when TCU takes on Florida State.
