Easter will be here before you know it and now are the time to start planning on what Easter events you take your children to. It's best to plan ahead so you don't end up missing the event. Bakersfield has a few events that are good for children to attend. Most are free but some may have a small price attached. This article will detail a few of the best ones to go to in 2010.

2010 Easter Events in Bakersfield, California #1: Easter Egg Hunt at GreenacresPark

Greenacres Park has an Easter Egg hunt at the park every year before Easter. This year it is on April 3rd. The egg hunt starts at 10 AM. Don't be late or your child will miss out on hunting eggs. I recommend getting to the park early so your kids can play on the toys before the hunt starts. The Easter Bunny is on site for pictures but the line gets long quickly so expect to wait a while or bring someone to stand in the Bunny line while the kids are hunting eggs. Greenacres Park is located at 2014 Calloway Dr Bakersfield, CA 93312.

2010 Easter Events in Bakersfield, California #2: Egg Hunt at RiverviewPark

Riverview Park is also having an Easter Egg Hunt on April 3rd at 10 AM. This is perfect if you want to take your kids to an egg hunt but don't live close to the Greenacres location. Plan to get their by 9:45 or earlier as they start the hunt exactly at 10 AM. Bring your camera because the Easter Bunny will be there to pose with your child. For directions, click here.

2010 Easter Events in Bakersfield, California #3: EGGstravaganza at McMurtreyAquaticCenter

This Easter, plan to get a little wet at the EGGstravaganza at McMurtrey Aquatic Center. The event takes place on March 27th and it starts at 10 AM and ends at 11 AM. The cost is $5 dollars per child without a shirt and $15 dollars with a shirt. There will be eggs placed and weighted under water so that the kids can get them. If your child is afraid of going under water, there will be some on the top for them to get. For children under five, you must go in with your child for safety reasons. For more information call (661) 852-7430. They are located at 1325 Q Street Space 100 Bakersfield, California 93301.
