2010 Emmy Awards Backstage Footage of Nominees to Stream Live Online
Webcams Give Unprecidented Footage of Emmy Nominees
Multiple Cameras Streaming on Emmy Website
The official Emmys website will have eight different cameras to capture backstage footage of nominees. The cameras will begin airing at 5 p.m. PST.
There will be a 'Thank You Cam' for Emmy winners to continue acceptance speeches. This webcam should keep the Emmys from running over their time-slot.
Host Jimmy Fallon will be able to address viewers on the 'Jimmy Cam,' when he is not onstage.
Viewers more interested in behind-the-scenes production, than Emmy nominees, can enjoy 'The Producer's Table.' This camera will focus on executive producer Don Mischer and his staff, as they work. Likewise, the 'Control Room' webcam will focus on director Glenn Weiss and his tech team.
The 'Green Room' camera focuses on the Emmy presenters and performers lounge. It ought to be interesting to see if they perform form the camera or if we will get to see them relaxed and natural.
The 'Makeup Room' camera offers another peek at the stars, as they prep for the awards ceremony. It's doubtful that we will get to see anyone come in bare faced, but there should be some stars popping in to artfully touch-up cosmetics for the camera.
The 'Winners Walk' camera gives us a chance to check out the new Emmy Winners clutching their new awards. It's also an excellent opportunity for those who missed the red carpet to check out the nominee fashion.
A 'Press Room' camera will show winners talking to press.
Two Emmy Nominee Webcams on NBC & UStream
NBC, who will also be broadcasting the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards, will have two online streams. One will focus on the Emmy nominees walking the red carpet. The other is to show backstage footage. It's unclear whether footage will be different than found on the Emmy website or actually use one of those cameras.
UStream will also be showing Emmy nominee footage, although it appears to be the same two cameras that NBC is using. All Emmy streaming video is hosted by UStream.
The Emmy Awards 2010 telecast begins at 5 p.m. EST, with 'Red Carpet to Emmys' on NBC. The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. EST, also on NBC. The live ceremony will take place at the NOKIA Theater L.A.
