2010 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival FAQs

Well, I think that it can be agreed that, for the folks along the East Coast at least, this has been one heck of a long winter, with too much snow, cold weather and less than desirable conditions. Almost comparable to the Groundhog seeing his shadow to bring hope of Spring, Disney has released the details of Epcot's International Flower & Garden Festival, 2010.

This year the festival will take place from March 3 - May 14, 2010, and the theme this year will follow in the steps of the "Give a Day, Get a Day" Celebration, which is running throughout the year of 2010. As in years past, the festival will be featuring the Flower Power Concert Series - featuring music from the 60's and 70's, hands-on gardening seminars and appearances by some well-known gardeners.

The 2010 International Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot will be featuring:

• A special community garden with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy Topiary

• American Gothic Mickey and Minnie *new to the 2010 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

• Herbs and Vegetables Home Grown Show - taking place at the Canadian Pavilion, where you will learn how to conserve water in a presentation by Rainbird Corporation. *new to the 2010 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

• Green Garden - Learn how to create an environmentally friendly garden.

• Pixie Hollow Fairy - Topiary of the fairies and play area for children aged 2 - 5.

• The Princess and the Frog Wedding Bayou - Found along the Test Track Walkway * new to the 2010 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

• Minnie's Magnificent Butterfly Garden - Found along the Test Track Walkway, and presented by Disneynature. This garden features amazing variety of foliage and hundreds of free-flying butterflies.

• Pirates Adventure Zone - Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Croc Topiary will lure young pirates to this adventure area.

• Planting Pointers - University of Florida gardening experts present tips and tricks that will help even the most amateur gardener create a beautiful garden *Offered Friday, Saturday, Sunday throughout the 2010 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
