C.J. Spiller Buffalo Bills
Spiller happens to one of the more interesting rookies for the upcoming 2010 fantasy football season simply because the NFL experts have already begun to comparisons with the Tennessee Titans' Chris Johnson.
Even though he plays for the cellar dweller Buffalo Bills, they will be using their running game to set up a below average passing attack, which means Spiller should receive more than enough carries per game.
The only thing that is going to be holding Spiller back from being the top fantasy football rookie will be the Bills' offensive line that has some question marks.
While some people maybe tempted to select Spiller as their second running back, it is best if you wait until you have two starters locked in.
Dez Bryant Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys made a big splash on draft day when they added the talented wide receive to their potent offense. You can do the same if you select Bryant in your 2010 fantasy football draft.
Some owners may be scared of selecting Bryant because of the fickle nature of the position but he has shown an uncanny ability to understand the finer parts of the position.
Bryant's success in his NFL rookie season will be because of his route running ability and how he uses his body and hands to put himself in the best position to make the catch.
If your fantasy football league is averaging five wide receivers per team, you will be taking a huge gamble if you let him slip into the later rounds.
Jordan Shipley Cincinnati Bengals
When the Bengals drafted Shipley in the third round, they picked up a wide receiver that showcased his ability in a potent Texas Longhorns offense.
In college, he showed a natural ability to get a feel for the game and haul in every pass thrown his way. The biggest asset for Shipley as a rookie in the NFL will be his speed that helps create separation from the defense.
The key to Shipley's fantasy football success will rely upon how well the Bengals insert him into their offense. He has the potential to do the most damage from the slot position where he can use his speed and ability to play off the defense.
Keep an eye on Shipley in your 2010 fantasy football draft and make sure to pick him up in the later rounds.
Jahvid Best Detroit Lions
Several NFL teams made the decision to pass on Best in the 2010 NFL Draft until the Detroit Lions decided to take a chance on him.
Make sure you do not make the same mistake for your fantasy football team.
There is no doubt about it that Best is a playmaker and is going to be a dangerous threat when he breaks into the open field. He has a quick first step and will give many defensive backs a run for their money with his breakaway speed. But many will overlook his ability to catch the ball out of the outfield.
Fantasy football owners should keep an eye on the status of Lions' running back Kevin Smith. If Smith is slow to recovery from his injury, you my want to consider selecting best as the second back for your team.
