2010 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks Draft Guide

Cheat Sheet for 2010 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks

Randy Inman
Thanks for checking out my 2010 Fantasy Football, quarterback rankings. This is a cheat sheet for the quarterbacks in your 2010 Fantasy Football drafts. I write many football articles here and at my site, Footballdogz.com. I have played Fantasy Football for over 20 years and know what is needed to win championships.

A few years ago running backs were what won Fantasy Football Championships, now it is quarterbacks. Of course you should go for an elite running back in Fantasy Football if one is available, as you can see here Chris Johnson is the best. But now days in Fantasy Football quarterbacks win. Too see how important a franchise quarterback is in the NFL click here.

But on to my 2010 quarterback rankings for Fantasy Football. Feel free to leave a comment at the end of this article. For free advice for your Fantasy Football team then click this link. I hope you enjoy this quarterbacks Fantasy Football draft cheat sheet. All stats come from NFL.com or Profootballreference.com.

1 Drew Brees- New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is the best quarterback in Fantasy Football heading into the 2010 NFL season. Brees is in the perfect offense with Sean Payton running the show and Drew's accuracy sure comes in handy. In 2009 Drew Brees threw for 4,388 yards and had 34 touchdown passes. He also gets to feast on bad defenses against Carolina and Tampa, twice, plus the Browns, Rams and Cardinals once. The last two Saints games in 2010 are against Atlanta and Tampa bay which will be in the Fantasy Football Playoffs. Keep in mind though the Saints will bench Brees if they have their playoff aspirations wrapped up.

2 Peyton Manning- Indianapolis Colts

Peyton Manning can easily pass Brees as the top Fantasy Football Quarterback but Brees has better weapons around him. Manning will make the most out of an average offense for the Colts but keep in mind the Colts will bench him at the end of the season if they can as well.

3 Matt Schaub- Houston Texans

Matt Schaub quietly put together an awesome Fantasy Football season in 2009 with almost 4,800 passing yards and 29 touchdown passes. Schaub has all the talent in the world and has all world wide receiver Andre Johnson.

4 Phillip Rivers- San Diego Chargers

Rivers is the best quarterback that nobody ever talks about. I think Phillip Rivers will play even better without dealing with the pouting LaDainian Tomlinson who is now a Jet. Playing the Chiefs, Raiders and Broncos twice should pad his stats pretty well.

5 Aaron Rodgers- Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers may be even more accurate than Brees and the Packers addressed their biggest need when they went after an offensive lineman with their first draft pick. If Rodgers has time, he will pick a defense apart.

6 Tony Romo- Dallas Cowboys

Romo put it all together in 2009 and will be even better in 2010 if Dez Bryant works out. I would rank Romo higher on the Fantasy Quarterbacks Cheat Sheet but Dallas didn't address their offensive line much in the off season.

7 Brett Favre- Minnesota Vikings

Favre has to be considered one of the top ten Fantasy Quarterbacks in 2010 if he plays. I think the Vikings will make it very interesting if Favre plays and stays healthy. He turns 41 a week before I do and God knows I am still in my prime lol.

8 Tom Brady- New England Patriots

Brady is still Brady and he is now two years removed from a devastating knee injury. I like the Patriots draft and with a quality tight end or two Brady will bump his stats up a bit. I just hope Randy Moss just don't quit playing hard again.

9 Eli Manning- New York Giants

Eli has quietly turned into a nice option in the 2010 Fantasy Football Draft. Manning's team quit on him last year, especially the defense. The Giants need to find their running game but last years rookie wide receivers are now more experienced. I would have no problem having Eli Manning as my top QB in 2010.

10 Joe Flacco- Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are one of the few NFL teams actually trying to win. Anquan Boldin is going to be huge for Flacco in the 2010 NFL season. Flacco will take the Ravens to the Super Bowl and he will help your Fantasy Football team do the same, possibly.

11 Carson Palmer- Cincinnati Bengals

Palmer had a solid year in 2009 and as you can see here so did the Bengals, until the playoffs anyway. Palmer has decent offensive weapons and knows he has to have a great season if he wants a chance at a ring.

12 Matt Ryan- Atlanta Falcons

This should be Matt Ryan's time to shine, entering his third NFL season. Michael Turner is in better shape than last year, so this will help Ryan. Playing the Panthers and Buc's defense twice a year won't hurt Matt Ryan's fantasy stats.

13 Jay Cutler- Chicago Bears

Cutler is trying to learn Mike Martz's offense which can really help your numbers. The Bears are improved but not at wide receiver and on the offensive line. I do think Cutler will throw for 4,000 yards and 25-28 touchdown passes this year.

14 Kevin Kolb- Philadelphia Eagles

Kolb could have an All Pro season but I have not seen enough of him to judge that yet. The fact that the Eagles have the NFL's best playmaker helps him quite a bit.

15 Chad Henne - Miami Dolphins

I think Henne can be a great sleeper pick in 2010 Fantasy Football drafts. The addition of Marshall at wide receiver will help him a lot. Ronnie Brown has fallen out of favor with the team in part to a DUI arrest. Ricky Williams will probably be the feature back and I expect more passes from Henne this season.

16 Matthew Stafford- Detroit Lions

Stafford is tough which is good considering the Lions offensive line. I expect the defense to be much improved which will help Matthew Stafford. Having the best wide receiver in football doesn't hurt him. Keep Stafford in mind on your 2010 Fantasy Football draft cheat sheet.

17 Vince Young- Tennessee Titans

Young played well late in 2009 and I expect this to carry over. The Titans young receiver group has more experience now as well. If Chris Johnson doesn't hold out and is happy look for Young to have a decent season.

18 Matt Cassel- Kansas City Chiefs

Cassel will be running a familiar offense under Charlie Weiss and that should help him. If Cassel can stay healthy he should put up decent numbers in 2010.

19 Donovan McNabb- Washington Redskins

McNabb finally got out of Philly but went to a team with a horrible offense. If McNabb does not get killed he will be a decent backup quarterback on your Fantasy Football team.

20 Matt Moore/ Jimmy Clausen- Carolina Panthers

Whoever wins the Panthers quarterback competition (I think it will be Moore) will have a great running game and offensive line to help out. The Panthers tried to get Steve Smith some help in the draft at wide receiver, but I am not sold on those picks.

21 Ben Roethlisberger- Pittsburgh Steelers

Big Ben just has too much hanging over him with the 4-6 game suspension to really judge right now.

22 Mark Sanchez- New York Jets

Sanchez didn't look great as a rookie but he will have another training camp under his belt which will help him a great deal. Sanchez has good weapons but the Jets will run the ball as much as possible.

23 Jason Campbell- Oakland Raiders

Campbell is a huge improvement over the released Russell as the Raiders quarterback. Campbell may put up huge numbers if the Raiders receivers can step up. But for right now I have him low on my 2010 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings.

24 Kyle Orton/Brady Quinn/Tim Tebow- Denver Broncos

It will probably be Orton playing quarterback for the Denver Broncos but he won't have anyone to throw the ball to.

25 Alex Smith- San Francisco 49ers

I actually like Alex Smith and love the 49ers draft but he is hard to read. I expect the team to run the ball a lot and this will hurt his numbers.

Thanks for reading my 2010 Fantasy Football cheat sheet for quarterbacks.
