Winter in Seattle has arrived with its crisp air and new fallen snow meaning the holidays are fast upon us. If you live in the Seattle area or are planning a trip, you'll want to check out these holiday events.

Winterfest 2010 at the Seattle Center
From November 26 until December 31, Winterfest 2010 will be in full swing. Winterfest is a free holiday event filled with fun activities and live entertainment. Activities include ice skating, ice sculpting, fireside singing, and the whimsical Winter train and Village to name a few. Seattle Center Student Showcases will provide live entertainment throughout the event. Other live entertainment includes SANCA Acrobatics & Circus Arts, the Microsoft Orchestra, the Zambini Brothers Puppeteers and much more.

Toyland Village at Waterfront Park
Don't miss this amazing light display with over 50 sculptures of holiday characters. Children will delight in the magical toy soldier, holiday tree, wrapped gifts, even an illuminated dreidel. Toyland Village runs from November 26th through January 2nd. Make sure to bring your camera because taking the perfect holiday card photo was never easier!

2010 Macy's Holiday Parade Seattle
Making its way through downtown Seattle streets, the annual Macy's Holiday Parade will take place on November 26. Step off time is at 8:45 a.m. and will begin from the corner of 7th and Pine. Parade participants include more than 20 floats, local high school marching bands, and numerous costumed characters. Santa is the highlight of the parade and will take his spot in Santaland at the conclusion of the parade. Arrive early for the best seats. For a complete list of parade participants, click here.

Santa Breakfasts at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel
Bring the family to this fun and spirited event benefiting the Arthritis Foundation of the Pacific Northwest Chapter. Santa Breakfasts takes place at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel on December 12, 18, and 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Guests will be treated to strolling minstrels, clowns, dancers, and even Santa. The Argosy Christmas Ship Festival
For 61 years, the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival has been an annual tradition for many residents of Seattle. Starting November 27 through December 23rd, the ship sails to 45 different communities in the Puget Sound area bringing holiday cheer in the form of onboard choirs singing for all to hear.
