The 2010 Honda Fit is Honda's answer to the growing numbers of subcompact, fuel efficient vehicles on the road today. Honda understands the need for a vehicle priced below that of the Honda Civic and as such introduced the Honda Fit to compete in the low priced segment of subcompact vehicles. The Honda Fit provides a lot for your dollar. Read on to learn more about the specifics of the 2010 Honda Fit.

Pricing: The Honda Fit offers several different styles that have their own base prices. The variety of styles is a way to make a Fit "fit' into every budget. The most basic version of the 2010 Honda Fit is simply called the Honda Fit. This base version starts at a low price of $14,750. Upgrading from the base version gets you into the Honda Fit Sport which starts ay $16,260. The top of the line model is the Honda Fit Sport with Navigation and starts at a base price of $18,110.

Standard Features and Options: The 2010 Honda Fit includes a wealth of standard features and options. Some notable features include the availability of a manual transmission or an automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Additionally, the Honda Fit comes with six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, and traction control on the Fit Sport and Fit Sport with navigation models. All Fit models come with active head restraints, a 2nd row Magic Seat that folds flat, 10 cup holders, and ABS. Fits are equipped with expected options such as power windows, A/C and so on.

Performance: The 2010 Honda Fit is a great handling vehicle that rewards its driver and has been praised time and again for offering the sportiest ride of any subcompact. The Honda Fit features a 1.5 liter VTEC 4 cylinder engine that churns out 117 hp. The engine is classified as an ULEV Ultra Low Emission Vehicle. The Fit returns up to 28 mpg city and 35 mpg highway depending upon which model and transmission you choose. The Fit is geared towards the enthusiast driver and is regarded as a fun to drive vehicle.

Bottom Line: The Honda Fit offers an affordable vehicle that delivers. It provides driving excitement while still being an economical and sensible choice. Like most vehicles from Honda, the Fit holds its resale value well and will likely be a reliable car for years to come. Its gas mileage, though not stellar, outshines many other vehicles in this class.
