2010 Incentive Travel Program Initiation

Moab, Utah, Ideal Incentive Destination

Michele Hill
Moab, Utah, long known for adventure and leisure travel, now focuses to tell the world, "Moab is a destination for corporate and incentive travel." In light of the current economic travel trends, Moab Utah provides that Other World experience for North Americans wishing to travel abroad. Conscientious about funding travel in this scrutinized economy? Select Moab Utah, a domestic destination, charming with it's rural appeal.

Moab is notably toured in the spring, summer and fall months. Winter must not be overlooked. Full tour services from Mid-March through October refresh participants from a productive business conference. Snows seldom fall in Moab. Town is a niche oasis, surrounded by snow blanketed outlands. Driving tours of Arches or Canyonlands National Parks in winter display the marshmallow meringue toppings of a fantasy land. Outfitters provide adapted winter schedules and itineraries for four-wheel drive, river trips and horseback riding. Winter is another lens to behold the incredible red rock vistas of Utah and well worth the winter time investment.

Escape Any Place USA by selecting Moab Utah for your incentive or corporate travel. No big box stores in Moab. Barely 1% of the restaurants are a chain name. While travelers will delight in finding favorite chain name hotels like Hampton Inn, Best Western, Comfort Suites, Sleep Inn, La Quinta, Super 8, Motel 6 and enable continued participation of many frequent user programs those hotel chains now promote. Town measures 3 miles of developed Main Street, a few blocks wide, making Moab convenient for wandering around to explore dinnertime options or after dinner walks, souvenir and local art shopping.

Flying to Moab direct, is channeled through Denver Colorado, with flights daily. The local carrier code shares with Frontier and United Airlines. The ticket price is reasonable when compared to hopping across the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans to access similar quality destinations. Other travel options: Fly into Grand Junction, Colorado and rent a car to drive 110 miles to Moab. For longer drives (these portals are not recommended for winter arrivals), Salt Lake City and Denver, measure 4.5 and 6 hour drives respectively. AAA is a remarkable tool for planning longer driving itineraries to Moab.

Travel Research: IncentivesMarketPlace.com posted round trip air for two with three nights at a Marriott package for $1465. Similarly, AirFareFor2.com listed a Park City, Utah package for $1393. Two round trip fares to Moab's Canyonlands Airport (CNY) with three nights at Hampton Inn in Moab totaled $1210 retail - pretty competitive.
