2010 MLB Draft Tonight, MLB Mock Draft Predictions

2010 MLB Draft coverage begins tonight on the MLB Network. The 2010 MLB mock drafts all agree at who will be the first pick, but draft coverage should still be quite interesting as it plays out. The 2010 MLB Draft will take place over three days (from June 7-9), with the first round and supplemental first round selections bringing the most excitement along with them. The first pick in the 2010 Draft will be from the Washington Nationals, who had the worst record during the 2009 MLB season. They will be followed by the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Baltimore Orioles in the draft, netting those teams some very nice draft picks in the first round.

Just about every 2010 MLB mock draft has Bryce Harper as the No. 1 overall pick. Harper is a power-hitting left-handed catcher out of Las Vegas that could command as much money as they had to pay for Stephen Strasburg this season. The second pick will probably be Manny Machado, a shortstop out of Florida, and it is expected that the third pick will then be pitcher Jameson Taillon out of Texas. It will be interesting to see how the draft plays out though, as some past projections have been way off when it came to anything after the first overall selection. By the end of the day, Bryce Harper will be drafted by the Washington Nationals, and then the negotiations will begin.
