2010 MTV Movie Awards Fashion Recap: Best and Worst Dressed

If you missed the 2010 MTV Movie Awards held in Los Angeles tonight, you may be wondering what some of Hollywood's biggest stars were wearing. Here, a 2010 MTV Movie Awards full fashion recap to help you catch up on what was hot and what was horrid on the red carpet tonight! You can also check out photos of MTV Awards fashion here.

First up in our 2010 MTV Movie Awards fashion recap, Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame. Kristen Stewart, who often commits fashion slip-ups without remorse, tonight chose a micro-dress comprised of one part tin-foil and one part gold hotel curtains, with some black piping at the neckline and a boring black belt to divide the aluminum and brocade. (It may be Dolce, but it doesn't mean we have to like it.)

With all eyes on her as one of the hottest young "stars" on the 2010 MTV Movie Awards red carpet, Kristen Stewart chose to wear her tresses in a messy, high-school gym-class pony tail. Nice make-up, though.

Far worse than Kristen Stewart's dress, Lucy Hale donned one of the worst looks of the evening altogether with her strangely-divided skirt, confusing fringed necklace and boring hair.

Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson sizzled at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, and not just for their on-stage kiss. Scarlett donned an adorable frock which featured a green lace overlay on top of a fitted black mini. The ensemble was belted at the waist with a skinny black band, and Johansson's loose blond locks worked with the flirty feel of the dress.

Sandra Bullock lit up the 2010 MTV Movie Awards red carpet and stage, showing off her fantastic fashion sense in a smart, age-appropriate black sequined mini-dress. The sexy, classy frock featured a sweeping, open back, but a modest, refined boat-neck neckline and long sleeves.

Lindsay Lohan chose a low-cut, 1970's inspired glittersuit to make her 2010 MTV Movie Awards fashion statement that might have belonged to Cher in a different time. (Note to Cher: check your closets tonight. No, seriously. Check your closets.) The super-straight, flower-child hair, smoky eyes and armful of bangles almost make the look work, but that much Lohan-cleavage is just sort of sad at this point. Worst-dressed list just for the half a breast falling out.

Among the best 2010 MTV Movie Awards fashion? Believe it or not, Paris Hilton surprised everyone by leaving her house in a garment that covered her crotch. Bonus points are added for the on-trend, feathered front and simple, soft hair and make-up. Not bad, Paris...not bad. Like fine wine, you occasionally prove that unpalatable swill CAN become something more refined.

Paris's sister Nicky Hilton disappointed in a cute, but too-casual Vacay-in-Sante-Fe type frock with strappy sandals and a messy braid. Red carpet fashion? Not quite.

Jason Segel combined a bit of fashion sense with a comfortable-but-appropriate red carpet look at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards tonight in a simple black suit that featured a good fit, an open top button and no tie. Unfortunately, he misplaced his comb and razor before hitting the event. Paul Rudd did a better job at the scruffy-but-clean look, with more polished hair and beard, though his choice of a nearly flesh tone suit washed him out.

Worst dressed for the men? Definitely Jonah Hill, for his frumpy "I got out of bed for this?" interpretation. The too-loose tie, ill-fitting, untucked shirt and sneakers added up to a look not fit for grocery shopping, let alone a red carpet (even if it is MTV). Best dressed for the men? 2010 MTV Movie Awards show host, Aziz Ansari, in a white tux with black lapels and bow-tie.

Great article. I watched that video. It was funny when Betty White told Sandra to make sure she never puts her dress on backwards. lol
