2010 MTV Movie Awards Nominees and Predictions; Winners

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards, helmed by Aziz Ansari, aired June 6 on MTV, home of Snooki, The Real World and a whole lot of reality television. Nominated performers duked it out for wins in categories including Best Breakout Star, Best Villain and Best WTF Moment (and yes, that means what you think it means) among others. The night's big winners were the cast of New Moon, the second installment of the Twilight Saga. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and the rest of the crew took home five awards, including the coveted Best Movie title.

Said awards were presented by a legion of Hollywood faves, including Chris Rock, Diddy, and Will Ferrell, and we were treated to performances by stars including Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera. Also appearing at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards were Oscar-winner turned scorned wife Sandra Bullock, who claimed the Generation Award, and surviving Golden Girl Betty White, whose recent turn as host of Saturday Night Live endeared her to a whole new generation.

Prediction: New Moon. Although there are certainly better films on this list - Avatar was an early fave for the Oscar, after all - tweenage fans will probably pull it out for Bella, Edward, Jacob and the rest of the crew in Forks.
Actual Winner: New Moon. I actually own this movie, but the first one was so painfully awful that I haven't been able to make myself watch it yet.

Prediction: Johnny Depp. I sense this one's a bit of a longshot, but Depp is just so hot. Given that there are three Twilight kids in the mix here, there's no clear winner, but I'll lean Robert Pattinson's way.

Prediction: Sandra Bullock. She's already got tonight's Generation Award in her back pocket, but girlfriend needs more love. You're a dirtbag, Jesse James. Oh, and she was genuinely good in The Proposal, too.
Actual Winner: Zach Galifianakis - The Hangover. I give: He was pretty darn hilarious.
