The 2010 NBA Draft schedule has already been released. The 2010 NBA Draft schedule states that the first pick of the 2010 NBA Draft will take place at 4:00 P.M. PST (7:00 P.M. EST) on June 24, 2010. That's almost a full year into the future, but the NBA wanted to get the 2010 NBA Draft schedule set in stone so that they could make sure to rent out the location, and get it on the official 2009-2010 NBA schedule before teams release all of their game schedules. The official schedule has yet to be released to the public yet, but that hasn't stopped people from getting excited about the prospects of a new NBA season.

The 2010 NBA Draft schedule begins at 4:00 P.M. PST on June 24th, 2010 and will work its way until all of the draft picks have been made. One of the reasons that the 2010 NBA Draft could be very exciting, is that there is a flurry of free agent activity expected to dominate the news in the 2010 NBA off-season. What that means is that there could be dozens of trades made that could impact how the draft plays out, and many teams are expected to move up, or to move down on the draft board in order to take on players or free up salary for a run at the 2010 free agent market.

One of the teams that is expected to make a big splash in the 2010 off-season are the New York Knicks, who have been working hard to shed payroll off of their team by that point. One of the early rumors has been the Knicks desire to make a large contract offer to LeBron James as well as another top tier free agent from the 2010 free agency class. By having a lot of payroll available, it could up their chances, but because the 2010 off-season is still so far away, anything could happen. By the time it rolls around, LeBron James could already be an NBA champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers, or he could be looking to play with one of his other friends for a different franchise. Some of those friends include Carmelo Anthony in Denver and Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat.

When the 2010 NBA Draft takes place, each of the 30 NBA teams will be allowed to select one player in the first round, and one player in the second round. The first picks of the draft are decided by a lottery in which all teams that don't make the playoffs have a chance at gaining one of the highest picks. After those teams, it goes in order of the finish from the 2009-2010 season, and works its way until all of the teams have picked. Then round two begins with the same order as round one. In the NBA teams are allowed to trade their draft picks, so a number of franchises have already started trading their picks, or could make trades that include their picks in the near future. The 2010 NBA Draft gets started on June 24th, 2010 at 4 P.M. PST.
