2010 NFC Championship Game Hosted by New Orleans Saints

The 2010 NFC Championship Game now has a location thanks to the Saints. The 2010 NFC Championship game will be in New Orleans, as the Saints beat the Cardinals on Saturday, and are the #1 seed in the NFC this post-season. Their opponent still needs to be decided in the Vikings vs. Cowboys game on Sunday, January 16th in Minnesota. Either Dallas or Minnesota will play at New Orleans on Sunday, January 24th. The game will be broadcast on Fox, with a start time of 3:40 P.M. PST (6:40 P.M. EST). Drew Brees appears destined to have a date with history now, and it could all happen right in front of his home crowd.

The New Orleans Saints proved on Saturday that they hadn't lost the offensive swagger that got them the #1 seed in the NFC Playoffs, and ensures that they get to host one more playoff game this season. It would seem that New Orleans is going to be the favored team to win the 2010 NFC Championship, but both Dallas and Minnesota have been putting up great performances this season. Dallas already beat Philadelphia in the first round of the 2010 NFC Playoffs by a score of 34 to 14. The game wasn't even as close as the final score made it seem, as Dallas completely controlled everything.

New Orleans was questioned by many analysts coming into their game against the Arizona Cardinals, and when the Cardinals put up 51 points last week against the impressive Green Bay Packers defense, it seemed like Arizona could be a team of destiny. The were already sliding fast in the first half when Kurt Warner got hurt, and at that point it seemed that the Arizona post-season ship had sailed. New Orleans beat Arizona by a score of 45 to 14, sending New Orleans back to the NFC Championship Game for the second time. Now Drew Brees has the chance to bring some positive history to the Saints, and this team seems like they could win it all.

The 2010 NFC Championship Game is Sunday, January 24th at 3:40 P.M. PST (6:40 P.M. EST) on Fox.
