The NFC West had the best 2010 draft of any division in all of football by far. The 49ers were no exception. San Francisco picked up two first round offensive lineman who instantly make the Niners line the best in the division, a new starting safety in Taylor Mays, linebacker Navarro Bowman, and running back Anthony Dixon who will be a great second back in their offense. Crabtree is ready to become an elite receiver, Vernon Davis is one of the top 3 tight ends in the league, and now the offense can protect Alex Smith. The 49ers are ready to compete, and will win the NFC West.
Seattle Seahawks (10-6)
The Seahawks had a very impressive draft as well. Getting their future starting left tackle Russell Okung and an instant game changer at safety in Earl Thomas cut their team weaknesses significantly in two swift moves. Bringing in Golden Tate helps sure up their receivers after losing Nate Burleson to free agency. The Seahawks will have one of the bigger turn arounds in the NFL, going from 5-11, to 10-6 and a playoff berth.
Arizona Cardinals (7-9)
Losing Kurt Warner will hurt this team significantly. They are no longer a playoff team until Leinart can prove himself. I think Leinart will have a solid year, but not do near enough to return the Cardinals to the playoffs in a newly tough NFC West. The defense needs more strengths and has lost Dansby. The offense will miss Boldin, but the supporting cast at receiver is still strong. Their season will come down to Leinart and the ability of the defensive front to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Seven wins for the Cardinals seems about right, but expect a return to the playoffs in 2011 if Leinart can improve.
St. Louis Rams (3-13)
The Rams made nice improvements through the draft, but are several years away from a .500 season. Their best scenario would include 4 or 5 wins and to keep Bradford healthy. Quick, name five Rams who have not been drafted in the past two years....I'll wait for your answer.

Post a CommentI dont see the niners winning 11 games. i think its gonna be a three way race between seattle, san fran, and arizona all going around 500. one team will be 9-7 or 10-6. none of these teams are good. plain and simple. th
