2010 NFL Draft Order Officially Set After Coin Flips and Trades

The Final 2010 NFL Draft Order is Set for NFL Teams to Determine Who They Will Select

The 2010 NFL Draft order is now officially set. The official order for the 2010 NFL Draft has been completed after coin flips were done to determine tie-breakers as well as the re-shuffling of playoff teams to reflect the final eight picks in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Super Bowl winner always picks last, with the Super Bowl loser picking right before them, and if regular season records don't determine everything, the final tie-breaker is a coin flip between teams that end with identical records within the final NFL standings. Three coin flips were needed to finish up the 2010 NFL Draft order, and now the order has been officially set.

There were also (of course) a number of transactions where draft picks were exchanged, with three first-round picks getting traded to new teams, and four second-round picks going to new teams. The list has been released to allow teams to figure out where they are set in the mock drafts, and it becomes much easier to determine which players will end up on the draft boards for teams around the league. The St. Louis Rams are already on the clock, so they can start talking with college players about getting drafted with that No. 1 pick. It's also possible for the Rams to come to terms on a contract before the official draft date, so that they get a player they know will sign with them in the end.

The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft will start on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. ET, and then finally the remaining rounds (4-7) on Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET. In the tie-breakers, Jacksonville won a coin toss over Denver, Tennessee won over San Francisco, and Atlanta won over Houston to set things up.
