2010 NFL Fantasy Football Stars

John Krutz
As always for there are must have players for fantasy football. With the 2010 NFL season just around the corner most people are preparing for their fantasy drafts. Here are my picks for must have players for the 2010 season.

Quarterbacks

We all know the big name quarterbacks and I believe the two best played in the super bowl last year. First, Peyton Manning, he may not always be the greatest fantasy player but you know he's going to put up numbers and maybe more importantly doesn't get hurt. Next, is Drew Brees, a lot of people think he will come back down to earth this year, but not me he's my #1 pick for quarterbacks. Finally Aaron Rodgers, he put up some great numbers last year and since it doesn't look like Green Bay will have the greatest running attack again look for him to do the same or better this year.

Running Backs

First on everyone's eyes this year is Chris Johnson. He has been self predicting a monster year this season and if it is any better than last year's season it will be a monster, if you can get him take him! Next is Adrian Peterson, there is no reason to expect anything but another monster year from him. Peterson like Johnson has great breakaway ability which leads to huge stats. Finally I would say Frank Gore. I know he may not be the most exciting name out there, but he is a great running back and I think this year San Francisco will be handing him the ball more.

Wide Receivers

Andre Johnson is a beast, like Terrell Owens in his prime but with better hands. Also Houston can put up some points, so Johnson should be your #1 pick for receivers. Next I am going with Reggie Wayne, a lot like his quarterback he's just a solid receiver who is almost a guarantee to put up great numbers. Finally I would go with Calvin Johnson of Detroit. He is a fantastic receiver and although Detroit probably won't win many games I think they will score points and I think Johnson is the go to guy on that team.

Good luck this year and be sure to read my article on fantasy sleepers this year before your draft.
