2010 NFL Power Rankings: Week 15

Ben Wood
For the next few weeks, my Power Rankings are going to look a little different. With the holidays approaching, I won't always have time to give detailed descriptions for every team, so I will provide a couple of key points and then give my Power Rankings.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the week (besides the Metrodome roof collapsing in Minnesota) was the Green Bay Packers' loss to the Detroit Lions. The Lions are a better team than their record indicates, but I don't know anyone who expected the Packers to be held to a single field goal and end up losing a game that would have put them into a tie atop the NFC North.

After completely dismantling the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, the Patriots are starting to look like the Super Bowl favorites from the AFC. Tom Brady hasn't thrown an interception in a couple months, and the Patriots defense has turned in three straight impressive performances.

In the NFC, it's looking like it might come down to the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints. Both teams are playing terrific football right now, and the Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants are look a lot more vulnerable than the juggernauts from the NFC South.

Here are my 2010 NFL Power Rankings going into Week 15 of the NFL season (last week's Power Ranking in parentheses):
