The Hall of Fame Class Announcement of 2010 will include several players who will not make the first selection ballot due to the overwhelming diversity of players who are listed in this years pick selection. The Hall of Fame is a special place where stats do warrant a first selection inductee lock, and also how many years it took a player to set new records, this is why this year's candidates are very impressive in their own right.
1. Jerry Rice: 13 time Pro Bowler, 22895 yards, 197 touchdowns, and 1,549 receptions in a 20 year career.
2. Chris Carter: 8 time Pro Bowler, 13899 yards, 130 touchdowns, and 1,101 receptions in a 16 year career.
3. Shannon Sharpe: 8 time Pro Bowler, 10,006 yards, 62 touchdowns, and 815 receptions in a 14 year career.
4. Emmitt Smith: 8 time Pro Bowler, 18355 yards, 4409 attempts, 164 touchdowns in a 15 year career.
During the forthcoming months these top four candidates will be the prime time discussion about how each one of these players has help shape the competitiveness of the game, paving the way for other NFL players seeking their share of greatness one day.
One of the most perplexing things that the Hall of Fame Committee will need to take into consideration process - may be about how their nominee selection procedure will come into question if Defensive End Richard Dent and Ex Player/Coach Dick LeBeau may finally get their chance to be considered as Hall of Fame inductees. There are several players on the ballot who may not make the inductee list due to their stats and how many years they played in the league. The list includes Terrell Davis, Roger Craig, Steve Tasker, Art Modell, Chris Doleman, and Rickey Jackson.
