Jeffery Allen Edwards is on somewhat of a roll these days. The reigning 2009 Queen City Male Country Artist of the Year has just been voted The Randy Travis Country Artist of the Year at The Carolina Music Awards.

Edwards is no stranger to success in the country music world. He is currently 38th on ReverbNation's National Country Charts out of over 6000 artists, and has opened for some of the best in the business, including Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, David Allen Coe, .38 Special, Rhett Akins, Lonestar, Blake Shelton, Colt Ford, Keith Anderson, Tracy Byrd, Brantley Gilbert, Molly Hatchet and Confederate Railroad among a host of other top Nashville performers.

Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Jeff moved to Myrtle Beach at age 16 and began writing songs. He got his first big break when Mike Rogers and Perry Richardson, producers of the multi-platinum group Firehouse, stepped in and helped him produce his 'Son of the South' CD. This brought him to the attention of major Nashville labels and launched him on the road.

It hasn't always been smooth sailing in music or in life for Jeffrey Allen Edwards. In 2004, he was diagnosed with Leukemia and with the help of Stem Cell treatments donated by his sister Laurie, he fights his battle these days making the most of his time by treating fans to a high energy show that should not be missed.

If you haven't caught Jeffery Allen Edwards all over the Carolinas, you have a great opportunity to see him at the South Carolina Tobacco Festival in Lake City this September 18th. Edwards will be starting the show for Atlantic Records / Top Dog recording artist Uncle Kracker.

Kracker came to fame scratching records for Kid Rock, but as music changed he has found a home in country radio. His break in country came with the 2004 hit 'When The Sun Goes Down' with Kenny Chesney, and he has not looked back since. His latest cd 'Happy Hour Deluxe' along with'The South River Road Sessions' are number 23 on Billboard's Country Album Chart and have launched the hit 'Smile' that sits at number 9 on the Billboard Country Songs Chart. New releases sure to hit the radio soon guarantee Uncle Kracker some more hits that should keep him on top of the charts through the winter.

The September 18th show is sure to be a great Saturday night. Call The South Carolina Tobacco Festival at (843) 374-8611 for ticket information.
