The 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards winners were announced tonight. Many are thrilled with this year's winners, and it was surely a star studded event. Out of all the victors announced, there are a couple that I am pretty excited about. Michael C. Hall, aka Dexter Morgan (serial killer/Miami homicide employee) won an award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a drama series.

Michael C. Hall is battling cancer, on top of being one of the most well-loved actors in a drama series. I was pleased that he won the Screen Actors Guild Awards in addition to his Golden Globe which was awarded last week.

I am also very pleased with Sandra Bullock's win for her role in "The Blind Side." The true story of how Baltimore Ravens Defensive Lineman Michael Oher got his chance of a lifetime. Bullock plays Leigh Ann Tuohy, a privileged woman from Memphis, Tennessee who takes Oher in after she sees him walking in the rain in shorts in the middle of the winter.

The unique thing about the Screen Actors Guild Awards is that only Actors vote on the winners. Therefore, this is the industry pointing out which colleagues did a great job during the year. Other awards shows either have the general public or critics decide the winners.

Here is the list of the official winners of the 16th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards:

Christoph Waltz, for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role

Julianna Margulies, for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, for "The Good Wife"
