2010 SEC Tournament Bracket

There are still several days remaining in the SEC regular season, but the rankings are solidified enough for us to go ahead and take a look at the 2010 SEC Tournament bracket. The 2010 SEC Basketball Tournament will be held March 11th through March14th at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee. All SEC teams will participate in the tournament with the highest four seeds receiving a single round by in the tournament. If you are traveling to the SEC tournament, staying in a downtown Nashville hotel will put you close to both the tourney and local restaurants and shopping. Others prefer to stay in Nashville airport hotels in order to minimize their travel to and from the airport when arriving in town. Either way you go, the SEC Tournament venue will be less than a 15 minute drive in non-rush hour traffic from your lodging choice.

Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State enter the final days of the regular season as the top seeds entering the tournament with Tennessee currently being a deceiving third seed in the SEC East behind Vandy and Kentucky. Other dark horses that could pull some upsets in the tourney include the Georgia Bulldogs, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Auburn Tigers.

Teams considered to be locks for the 2010 NCAA Basketball tournament are:
Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee. Mississippi State and Florida are also probably NCAA tourney teams but are in and out of the "Bubble" depending on what bracketology article you read.
