Daytona Beach has long been a popular choice for Spring Break, and there are many reasons why.

About Daytona Beach, Florida

Daytona Beach and Spring Break are synonymous with fun. People have been going to Daytona Beach for Spring Break for many generations and some argue that it's still the best place to go.

Daytona Beach is located in Volusia County Florida and is the principal city of the Deltona-Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach areas. It is considered to be located on the "Fun Coast" region of Florida on the Atlantic side.

Known for its hard-packed sand which has been a success for those in motorsports, and it is also the headquarters for NASCAR.

Daytona Beach has been known to cater to those who visit on Spring Break, but that reputation is said to be more so in the past than today. However, many students still visit Daytona and that's because there is so much to do.

Things to do

Daytona Beach is comprised of 23 miles of beaches and as such, has a ton to offer when it comes to activities on Spring Break.

Some of the better known clubs include Ocean Deck, Aqua Lounge, and Razzles which has been around for over 20 years and is still very popular.

Other clubs include the Mai Tai Bar and The Cruisin' Café.

If you get tired of sunbathing during the day, check out the Daytona Beach Boardwalk which is located behind Ocean Avenue between Main and Auditorium Blvd. Here you can find the typical family-fun things to do (go karts, arcades, etc.), but you can also find many restaurants and souvenir shops.
