Spring Music Festivals Are a Great Cure for Spring Fever

With winter storms brewing, think thoughts of spring and check out the variety of spring music festivals scheduled for 2010.

Louisville, Kentucky is the home of the Abbey Road on the River music festival. Held Memorial Day week, from May 27 to May 31, 2010, it is the largest Beatles festival in the United States. Springfest in Ocean City, Maryland is held May 06 through May 10. This spring music festival has two stages with a variety of musicians. Admission is free except for most performers. Fees will be charged for the following popular performers: Randy Travis, performing on May 08 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, $30, $40, $45 and $50. On May 09 at 8 p.m. Gary Puckett of the Union Gap will be performing. Tickets are $20, $25, $30, and $35. Springfest offers craft artists, and all types of food vendors. Jazz lovers from all over attend the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. This huge spring music festival has close to a half a million people attending yearly. This is held from April 23 through May 02, 2010, over two weekends. Besides the jazz music New Orleans is famous for, this spring festival offers folk, blues and gospel music. For county music lovers, Detroit, Michigan holds the largest country spring music festival, The Detroit Downtown Hoedown, on May 14 through May 16, 2010.     Great info! Only problem with "spring" is I don't think we're going to have one this year in Ohio
